- Etext
Resource Page - In January 2001, the State
of California passed Bill AB422 that requires
publishers to provide electronic versions of
all texts for use by individuals with reading
and/or visual disabilities. Until full compliance
by publishers is achieved this is an excellent
starting point for locating electronic versions
of texts.
- Web
Accessibility Resource Page - with the recent
passing of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation
Act of 1973, and the application of Section
504 of the same Act, all UC Irvine electronic
communications, i.e. web pages, are required
to be accessible for use by individuals with
disabilities. The Web Accessibility Resource
Page has information and resources your department
can utilize to make your website accessible.
